EVENT DETAILS
The Lone Survivor Foundation PRS Benefit Match is an annual event hosted by the Texas Precision Rifle Club. There will be an open range day available for $50 on Friday Oct 20th from 0900-1600 as well as registration and zero. The match will be on Oct 21-22. This will be a traditional 2 day style PRS Points match with a prize table where the proceeds of the match after costs will be donated to the Lone Survivor Foundation. The match will be held on an 800 acre private ranch and shooting complex located in Cawthon, TX which is 20 minutes south of College Station, TX. The range is easily accessible by car or truck, all paved roads except for the last mile. The range is 1.5 hours from George Bush Intercontinental Airport or William P Hobby Airport in Houston, TX, just over 3 hours from DFW Airport in Dallas, TX, 2 hours from Austin, TX and 3 hours from San Antonio, TX. Easterwood Airport is located in College Station and is serviced by American and United Airlines as well. College Station provides many hotel options and the weekend is an OPEN WEEK for Texas A&M Football.

The course of fire will test a broad range of shooting skills from prone to positional with an approximate round count near 200 rounds to complete. The range layout will allow an efficient match with minimal transition requirements between stages (as in hiking). Parking will be allowed near the stages and provide for an open view of all the stages and shooters. This match will be promoted by the Lone Survivor Foundation and spectators are expected. Students from the Texas A&M Lone Survivor Foundation and the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets will volunteer in running the match.

This match will utilize electronic scoring, as well as state of the art target flash indicator systems. The Texas weather in mid-October is usually warm and sunny without the extreme heat of Aug-Sep. Registration and zero for the match will take place on Friday the 20th.

Food will be provided for all shooters and match volunteers except breakfast, starting Friday evening. Lunch will be delivered to the shooters during the match and Saturday evening will be a Prime Rib Dinner! You will not find better food at a PRS Match.
