Who has one? And what's your thoughts?

Just picked one up, forgot how much I appreciate a tri pod in field environments...

I have one set up on a manfrotto.  I use it quite a bit for dry fire practice.  Other than that not very often, I probably use it more for deer hunting that anything else.
It pays to be a winner.

I have a pig saddle.  I also use the Manfrotto ball head on a tripod.

Mine seems fine.  I plan to make a larger handle for it to make it faster to tighten up/remove.

My rifle is right over 15lbs and the pig holds onto it just fine.  Depending on how you plan to use the pig/hog it can be a little slow getting the firearm in and out of the saddle.  An upside is that you can use it with so many different firearms and it will hold your rangefinder or you can lay your binoculars on top also.

There are a few other types to look at as well, if you want to see other options.

I have a hog saddle now.  It's nice, but honestly, it's never seen any field use.

I'll probably sell it at some point and buy a JAE mount from RRS.  They've been getting great reviews from other JAE owners, and I try to support Forum vendors since they support us.  :)
